Yiwu is renowned for being a trading town. This city in central Zhejiang Province, China is well-known as the 'sock town' as it yearly generates over three billion pairs of socks for Wal-Mart, Pringle and Disney. Based 100 km south of Hangzhou, Yiwu is also China's number one producer of fashion jewellery.
Owing to its large number of historical attractions, Yiwu has been given the title of 'Land of Civility'.
